Hi. I have been asked to teach at A&A Products in Sequin, Texas and we are researching to see if there are enough students interested in the proposed June time slots to fill the classes. Please contact me via this site or Matt at (830) 303-8021 if you have serious interest in attending. I also plan on some how volunteering with the sea turtle patrols on Padre Island while I am in Texas. Forever Glass. Forever Turtles. Thanks! Kathleen

Workshop – Level of Interest Inquiry for participants.

Kathleen Sheard, Wildlife Glass Artist, is scheduling to teach at A&A Products, LLC. in Sequin, Texas, the first week of June. Closest major airport is San Antonio. Wildlife in Glass – Beginning is tentatively scheduled for June 3, 4 and the evening of June 6. Wildlife in Glass – Phase 2, is tentatively scheduled for June 5 to 10. (Pick up project on morning of June 10)

The beginning workshop teaches the basics of kiln formed glass using glass frit particles to create realistic animal portraiture, landscapes, flowers or people. Two panels are completed during this workshop.

The advanced workshop is for students who have previously taken the beginning Wildlife Art in Glass. (or have consent of the instructor) The first project will take multiple pre fused pieces (2 to 4 depending on complexity) mixed with frit, and incorporate parts into one finished miniature vitreous painting. Students need to come prepared the first day with photographs ready to start this project. Approximate size of this project is 9”x18”x1”.
