Yesterday was Day One in staging the Cycle of Life Sculpture. What needs to be trimmed, cold worked, wood corner plates made and miscellaneous – do I/we want to do it this way….or will this actually work better. I initially put this part in the drawing here – but I think I am going to put it there in the finished sculpture.
(The sea turtle nest is laying on top of the base. A hole will be cut to insert the nest into the base and it will be filled with cast class sea turtle eggs.)
I am cold working today and tomorrow in a friend/fellow artist studio and team member Dennis McCloud is finishing and inventing new wood parts as needed. The Turtle Dance continues!
